THE DESIGN

The architects, designers, builders and developers who envisioned Borrego Springs took their design queues from the stark and raw beauty of the desert landscape coupled with the use of modern materials, many that were the direct result of developments during World War II – large expanses of glass to blur the lines between indoors and out, air conditioning and design sensitive to the natural landscape – to create what today is called “Desert Modern” – a subset of Mid-Century Modern design.

The following architects, builders, developers and projects are a living legacy to this idea of innovation and creation of a unique environment that celebrates “Your Place in the Sun”
